I've been a staff member of Gillett Elementary School for the past 24 years, and am proud and honored to serve as principal in a community I truly care about. The Tiger Way is all about valuing and appreciating each student and their families. We know that each of our students bring unique personalities and individual experiences and abilities with them. Our hope is always to instill a love of learning in each student and allow them ample opportunities to explore their interests and passions. Learning is something that never stops, not only when we leave the classroom, but all throughout our lives. We have an outstanding staff, and all our GREAT teachers are focused on providing a learning environment where our students feel challenged and can thrive. We hope to provide a supportive and safe environment where our students can take risks, make mistakes, build resilience and develop a strong foundation of academic and life skills. Communication with families is one of our top priorities in creating that cohesive world dedicated to the best interests of every student. As a school, we are always looking to improve and innovate, but our strongest trait is our commitment to excellence. We always expect that excellence from ourselves, as well as from our students. It is that commitment that has led our school to be named one of Wisconsin's Title I Schools of Recognition for four consecutive years. We are very proud of that accomplishment, but continue to keep improving and innovating to make this a GREAT school that prepares our young students for the 21st Century.
